Camellia sasanqua ‘Cleopatra’ is one of the earliest camellias you can buy with flowers blooming right through winter with some flushes as early as October.

The flowers themselves are interesting and quite distinct to those of camellia japonica. The petals are much more lobed grouped around a distinct, bright yellow centre.

This mix of soft pink and bright yellow really creates a beautiful display of colour for the winter months.

This camellia is perfectly suited to planting in a container to bring some colour to a terrace or patio and will do best in ericaceous soil in either partial shade or sun.
